Classified Position Application Instructions

A position that DOES NOT REQUIRE a certified license such as Business Office, Secretary, Food Service, Maintenance, Technology, Paraprofessionals, Custodial, Bus Driver, etc. 

To complete the application process for a classified position in Kane County School District you will need to complete the following procedures:

  • You can apply through the Kane County School District Online Applicant Portal. You must create an account, view all open job postings, and submit applications through the portal. Once an account is created with a resume and profile, multiple applications can be submitted using a single profile.
  • If required, you must complete the following before you begin employment:
    •  A background check ($45).
    • A photocopy of your posted Associate's Degree from an accredited university or,
    • A photocopy of your transcript from an accredited university documenting that you have at least 48 hours of credit or,
    • Pass the ParaPro PRAXIS Test with a passing score of 460. Test is administered at the district office. The cost is $55 per test. 
Certified Position Application Instructions

A position that REQUIRES a certified license such as Administrator, Classroom Teacher, Media Specialist, Counselor, Coach, Speech Therapist, School Psychologist, Learning/Curriculum Specialist, School Nurse, etc.

To complete the application process for a teaching, administrative, or counseling position in Kane County School District you will need to complete the following procedures:

  • You can apply through the Kane County School District Online Applicant Portal. You must create an account, view all open job postings, and submit applications through the portal. Once an account is created with a resume and profile, multiple applications can be submitted using a single profile.
  • Provide a copy of your valid Utah Teaching License (or indicate the date you will receive it).
  • Provide a copy of transcript of credits from the university(ies) attended. Official transcripts will be requested if applicant is hired.
  • Submit your college/university Education Credential/Placement File. (Encouraged, but optional)
  • Submit a current resume', if not already included in your Education Credential/Placement File.
  • Submit additional letters of recommendation. (Encouraged, but optional)   

All of these can be uploaded to your portal account online.                                               

Note:  Due to the number of applications on file, we are unable to interview each applicant for every position that comes open. All applications are kept on file in the application portal for three years. It is the responsibility of each applicant to update his/her resume and application while it is on file. After that time has lapsed, the applications are then removed.
