Kane County School recently partnered with Garfield County School District to provide students in both districts the opportunity to participate in an Alex Boye assembly for all 7th-12th grade students. The student assembly was held at Kanab High School, where Alex discussed positive mental health based on his “You are a 10” platform. Some of the topics included the harmful effects of social media, thinking positively about yourself, not comparing yourself to others, and that everyone is a 10. Kane County School District received a grant from the Utah State Board of Education that was used in cover the cost of the assembly. We also appreciate the partnership with Garfield School District who assisted with the cost for the event.
