Welcome Back to School!
I would like to welcome all of the students in the Kane School District to a new school year! Teachers are excited to welcome students into their new classrooms. We have outstanding teachers at Kane District who create a caring environment where students feel safe, valued, and receive a high level of academic instruction. This summer teachers have participated in four days of professional development where they have received training in STEM, LA, Math, Science, and Core Curriculum alignment.
Also, many of the district employees have spent numerous hours during the summer in preparation for the first day of school. I appreciate the custodians and classified personnel in the district office who work during the summer to assure the facilities, school lunch, and transportation are ready to begin the new school year. As students transition back into school, it is very important for students to receive enough sleep as they being to adjust to the school schedules.
I would like to make you aware of a few changes for the upcoming school year. We have worked extensively to ensure our schools are clean and sanitized every day. If the students or faculty choose to wear masks, they are welcome to do so, but they are not required. Additionally, the district calendar, online registration and school fee information is available on the district web page at http://www.kane.k12.ut.us/. Students, welcome to the beginning of another successful year! As a reminder, the first day of school is Thursday, August 19, 2021
