Students in the Kane County School District (KCSD) continue to take advantage of concurrent enrollment opportunities with our higher education institution partnerships. KCSD would like to congratulate the students who recently completed our local cosmetology program and walked in the Snow College Graduation ceremony. These dedicated students successfully completed the required coursework, passed the state cosmetology examinations, earned 46 college credits, and completed 1,600 hours of classroom instruction to earn an industry-recognized certificate in cosmetology. We would like to thank Nikki Johnson for her assistance in running the program for the district and providing our students with this career-ready option. The program is also supported by teachers Kristie Swindlehurst and Amber Bowman.
