KCSD Board Honors Sterling Scholars

During the April 14 meeting, the Kane County School Board recognized several outstanding students for their participation in the Sterling Scholar program at Utah Tech University.

In honor of their achievements, the district awarded each participant $100. A special congratulations goes to Maddie Cox, who received an additional $500 scholarship for being named the runner-up in Agriculture Science.

The 2026 Sterling Scholars are:

Valley High School

  • Maddie Cox – Agricultural Science (Runner-Up)
  • Nyola Schreiner – Music

Kanab High School

  • Keira Flanagan – Music
  • Mikkel Jones – Skilled and Technical Science
  • Brenden Donoho – Speech and Drama
  • Ta’Kara Martinez – Visual Arts

We extend our sincere thanks to these students for their hard work and dedication. They did an exceptional job representing our schools and our community.
