The Utah High School Activities Association (UHSAA) announced the sanctioning of Esports and plan for the competitive event to begin next year. The season will be from January to April. The competition games will be Mario Cart, Super Smash Brothers, and Rocket League. Kanab High School has an Esports team that will be competing in the UHSAA-sanctioned events.
The UHSAA Board of Trustees voted to raise ticket prices starting in the fall of 2025. The UHSAA will charge $8 for students and $13 for adults. The prices are for the State Tournament tickets and the football endowment game tickets. Ticket prices haven’t changed since 2021, when UHSAA implemented digital ticketing.
