The Kane School District has recently started accepting applications from students for our new cosmetology program in partnership with Snow College. The Kane District Cosmetology Program will begin in August 2022, and Nikki Johnson will be the instructor. Students will need to complete their application and be accepted into the program. The district will remodel the Kanab preschool building to facilitate the classes. CTE Director Rod Quarnberg has received $38,000 of federal Perkins funding to purchase the cosmetology equipment. We want to thank Mr. Brent Judd for his help with the accreditation process. Students in the Kane School District cosmetology program will have the option to complete their coursework in Kanab or transfer their hours to Snow College South (Richfield), Evans Hair College (St. George/Cedar), or the Paul Mitchell School (St. George). We are excited about the opportunities the cosmetology program will provide our students.
