Kane County School District recently received funding from the Utah State Board of Education (USBE) to hire a half-time Instructional Coach. The district will leverage Federal ESSER funds to fund the remaining allocation to make the Instructional Coach a full-time position. Instructional coaches support teachers in improving and assisting teaching practices, which in turn increases student outcomes through building the capacity of the educators to use best practices to meet the student’s needs. Additionally, instructional coaches help teachers to analyze student data to guide classroom decision making and interventions. The district recently interviewed and selected Linsey Glover to be a district Instructional Coach and will begin with this new position in August 2021.
