CARES funding was approved through the Coronavirus Relief Fund to provide assistance to schools and state agencies to help navigate the impacts of the COVID-19 outbreak as part of the $150 billion federal relief fund. Kane School District applied for and received $119,481 of the CARES funding, which we used to purchase needed resources and materials to begin the school year. Kanab City graciously provided an additional $75,000 of their CARES funding to the Kane School District, in which we purchased masks, hand sanitizer, gloves, and additional cleaning supplies for school buses and classrooms. We would like to thank Kanab City for their contribution of CARES funding to the school district as it enabled us to acquire additional needed resources for our students, faculty, and staff.
