In an effort to continue to inform the public on the General Obligation Bond that will be used to construct a new elementary school in Kanab, we will continue with the frequently asked questions…
What will Kane School District do with the revenues from the General Obligation Bond?
The $23 million bond will be used to construct a new elementary school in Kanab. The new building will be a 70,000+ square foot facility with an estimated life of 50 to 60 years and can accommodate up to 700 students. The current Kanab Elementary School building is 40,805 square feet, which is only accommodating a current student count of just under 500, and only by using several modular classrooms.
