The public is welcome to attend and offer comments. During the hearing, a presentation will be provided to explain budget comparisons across FY25, FY26, and the proposed FY27 budget.

Tax Rate Highlights:

  • No Tax Increases: The Kane County School District budget includes no tax increases for the upcoming fiscal year.
  • Low Tax Burden: KCSD maintains the 8th lowest tax levy out of the 41 school districts across the state.
  • Below State Average: The district’s current tax rate is .004214, well below the state average of .005457, with the highest tax rate for a school district being Emery at .008671.
