On March 30, 2023, students from Kanab High School and Valley High School will compete against 181 students from across nineteen high schools in the southern region for Sterling Scholar. The day’s events include competitive interviews followed by the awards program at Southern Utah University. There are fifteen categories competing for the Sterling Scholar scholarships and include the following areas: Agriculture Science, Business & Marketing, Computer Technology, Dance, English, Family & Consumer Science, General Scholarship, Mathematics, Music, Science, Social Science, Speech & Drama, Skilled & Technical Science Education, Visual Arts, and World Languages. Many colleges and universities in Utah offer scholarships to the winners and runners-up. We would like to congratulate the students from Kanab and Valley High Schools and wish them the best of luck in the Sterling Scholar Competition.
