Kane County School District students have the opportunity to enroll in university classes while they are enrolled in high school through Snow College and Dixie State University. Students can earn university credits and use the credits to count toward high school graduation. Also, students have the opportunity to enroll in concurrent enrollment at a reduced tuition rate of $5.00 per credit. In our district we continually see an increase in the number of concurrent enrollment credits earned by students, showing an increase from 69 credits in 2016, to 714 credits in the fall of 2020 (please see the following historical graph showing the number of students, classes, and credits).
I would like to complement the students in the Kane School District for their increased efforts to enroll in university concurrent enrollment classes.
