Kane School District Board of Education is pleased to announce that Daniel Trimble has been selected as the new principal of Kanab Elementary School.
Daniel Trimble and his wife Carol Trimble have been living in Abu Dhabi, UAE for the past two years and have enjoyed the travel and cultural experiences that it has offered them. The previous 12 years they spent in the St. George area exploring the wild beauty of Southern Utah, and the many opportunities that living in such an amazing area has to offer. They are very excited to return home to Southern Utah to reconnect with its beauty and be a part of the Kanab community.
Daniel attended Southern Utah University where he earned his BA in Psychology and Elementary Education with a minor in languages. He later received a Masters of Education and completed an additional administrative license and an ESL (English as a Second Language) endorsement from the same university. In the interim, he received a school counseling license at the University of Nevada, Reno.
In Nevada, he taught in the first, sixth, seventh, and eighth grades, and spent six years as a school counselor at a middle and high school. Later arriving in Washington County where he taught fourth grade, worked as a staff developer and was the principal at Diamond Valley Elementary for five years. Most recently he has had the privilege of being the principal at GEMS American Academy in Abu Dhabi.
Dan and Carol are looking forward to settling in Kanab and spending time with their family, children, and grandchildren.
A Serbian proverb that represents his belief in the interconnectedness of life and the near-absence of impossibility is, “Be humble for you are made of earth. Be noble for you are made of stars.”
We are happy to welcome Mr. Trimble to Kane School District.
