Kane County School District students continue to take advantage of concurrent enrollment (college classes taken in high school). Last year, students in the district earned 1527 college credits equating to $1,221,600 in tuition savings. Eleven students earned their college general education certification, and four students were awarded associate degrees before they graduated high school. Students in the district are on track to exceed the number of college credits earned last year with the completion of 829 college credits last semester; Kane County School District students will likely exceed the 1527 total credits earned last year. For every concurrent enrollment class taken in high school, it saves the student approximately $800 in tuition costs.
