KCSD Opening Institute-Retirees

On August 6, 2025, the Kane County School District proudly hosted our annual Opening Institute, welcoming faculty and staff back in preparation for the upcoming school year. This event marks a cherished tradition where we come together to celebrate new beginnings and honor those who have dedicated their careers to serving our students.
As part of this tradition, we recognized two outstanding educators who are retiring after years of impactful service.

Mrs. Carol Trimble served in our district from 2019 to 2025, teaching at both Valley Elementary and Kanab Elementary. Her commitment to nurturing young minds and fostering a love of learning has left a lasting impression on our school communities. We extend our deepest gratitude to Mrs. Trimble for her dedication and the positive influence she’s had on countless students.

Mrs. Julie Brown began her career in 2004 as a Special Education teacher and has been a cornerstone of our district’s efforts to support students with disabilities. Her work at Kanab Elementary and Kanab High School has helped shape a more inclusive and responsive educational environment. Mrs. Brown’s leadership and compassion have played a pivotal role in advancing equity and opportunity for all learners.
The Kane County School Board recognized Mrs. Trimble and Mrs. Brown with a traditional engraved brass school bell. We sincerely thank Mrs. Trimble and Mrs. Brown for their many years of service and wish them the very best in their well-earned retirement. Their legacy will continue to inspire us as we enter the new school year.
