Mrs. Merilee Terry was recently recognized as Teacher of the Year at the Utah Rural Schools Conference in Cedar City, Utah. Mrs. Terry is a Kanab High School graduate and has been teaching for 26 years. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Music from Southern Utah University, taught at Ben Lomond High School for three years, and has been teaching in Kanab since 1998, where she recently earned her master’s degree in Music Education from Southern Utah University. Mrs. Terry can play almost any instrument but specializes in the flute, bassoon, piano/organ, and bagpipes. We are fortunate to have Mrs. Terry as a teacher in our district.
