House Bill 179 officially designates September as American Founders and Constitution Month in Utah. The Utah Education Network (UEN) eMedia portal provides curriculum materials, certificates, and a Constitution Fitness program aligned with state standards. The Governor’s office and the Utah State Board of Education also encourage residents and educational institutions to participate through various educational programs and celebrations for this month, culminating in Constitution Day on September 17th. Teachers in the Kane County School District utilized these educational resources to provide appropriate grade-level discussion, assignments, and class activities relating to our nation’s founding, principles of government, popular sovereignty, and federalism. A live reading of the Constitution was provided from the Utah State Capitol on September 30, 2025.
