KCSD Property Acquisition

Kane County School District has been exploring options to purchase property in the Valley for future school and faculty construction. As part of this process, we have looked at multiple infrastructure resources such as access to three-phase power, sewer, water, turn lane access, and most importantly, student safety. Also, it is difficult to find a parcel of property in the Valley that is relatively flat and with the acreage we need for future development. We have decided to purchase a thirty-one-acre parcel located south of Orderville. Purchase of this property will allow the district to move forward with planning for a regulation size track and future facilities.

In Kanab, we have recently completed construction of a new elementary school, installed a new track at KHS, and are planning to remodel/enlarge the current KHS wrestling room. Additionally, we are working on plans to remove the coal boiler and install a new HVAC system at KHS.

Please know that as a district, we will continue to allocate resources to students throughout our district in the areas where they are needed to meet the educational needs of our students.
