The Utah State Board of Education (USBE) recently released the top-performing districts for the number of 3rd-grade students reading above grade level at the end of the school year. The number of 3rd grade students reading above grade level in the state of Utah last year was 48.1%. Kane County Schools ranked in the top five districts in the state with 59.6%. Our goal is for 70% of our 3rd grade students to read above grade level by 2027. We would like to thank our teachers and support staff for their dedication to improving student literacy in our district. Also, a special thanks to anyone in our community who listens to students read and helps them in their academic success. Congratulations to our students for their outstanding accomplishments in 3rd grade reading.
