If you recently registered a new student in grades 7th-12th, you probably noticed a decrease in school fees. The Kane County School Board recently approved the reduced fee schedules to help lessen the financial burden on parents. The Chromebook fee was also removed from the fee schedule this year. Also, parents/guardians can complete a fee waiver application and meet with the building administrator to determine if they qualify for fee waivers. The district still provides free breakfast to all students. Additionally, Kane County School District has partnered with the Utah Food Bank to provide food backpacks to go home on the weekend; for more information on the district food backpack program, please get in touch with your building administrator. Parents must complete a free lunch application to have their students receive these services this year. Even if your student does not eat lunch at the school, we encourage parents to complete the free lunch application to help secure federal Title I, II, and III funding for our school. I’d like to thank the Kane County School Board for all the leadership and efforts to reduce the financial burden placed on families.
