I would like to provide the public with an update on the construction of the new Kanab Elementary School. Currently, 22 wall panels are standing, with 14 panels ready to stand and 22 panels formed and prepared for concrete. Hughes construction will stand 36 panels between January 25 and 28. The tallest walls on the south end of the building are the gym walls. The school is being built to accommodate 700 students. Currently, we have approximately 515 students at Kanab Elementary. The three phases of the construction process can be seen in the construction photos, including the vertical gym walls, wall panels poured waiting to cure, and the framing of new partitions. We are excited to see the progress of the new school and anxiously await its completion for the next school year.
