October is Utah College Application and Financial Aid Awareness Month (UCAW), where the goal is to provide every high school senior the opportunity to complete at least one college or university application and submit the Federal Student Aid application to apply for funding assistance to enroll in a higher education program. UCAW is happening this week in our high schools across the district. Additionally, the State of Utah has over 35,000 students earning over 250,000 college credits in concurrent enrollment classes. Students in our district continue to take advantage of concurrent enrollment classes; at Kanab High School, 18 students are currently working on completing their General Education Certificate, four students are planning to earn their Associate Degree before they graduate high school. We encourage students to participate in the Utah College Application and Financial Aid Awareness Month. If you have questions, please contact your school counselor.
