Kane County School District announced a soft closure of schools for a minimum of two weeks or until further notice beginning March 16, 2020. The school closure is a result of the recommendations from the Southwest Health Department, Utah Health Department, Utah State Board of Education, as well as our own staff, relating to possible Coronavirus exposure. In an effort to be proactive, the district will close all seven schools for at least two weeks or until further notice. The school closures include the postponement of all student travel including extra-curricular activities.
Teachers will provide digital education to the students through their Chromebooks and online curriculum programs. We are confident in KSD teachers’ ability to provide instruction in a digital setting. If you have questions for teachers, please contact them through their emails, which can be found on the individual school webpages. Student online instruction will begin on Tuesday, March 17.

Free internet service is being generously provided by South Central Communications for student homes (for 30 days) that do not have internet service so they can have access to their online school work. If you are in need of internet, please go to the South Central Communications website and fill out the form. More information will be forthcoming on this.
Lunch service: Kane School District will continue to provide grab and go sack lunches to all students during the two-week dismissal of classes starting Tuesday March 17th (they will not be provided during Spring Break). Our bus drivers will deliver these meals according to their bus routes. Students will be able to pick up the lunches at their normal bus stops. Students that don’t normally ride the bus will be able to pick up lunches at the bus stops closest to their home. Parents must have signed up for lunches by March 16. Lunches will be charged according to your current lunch eligibility status.
Please know that the student, faculty, staff and community safety is our top priority and we will continue to work closely with county and state officials to address these concerns.
