The Kane County School District continues to provide additional educational opportunities for students through our Career Technical Education (CTE) programs by working collaboratively with Snow College and Southwest Technical College. As a district we provide transportation for twelve students from Kanab High and one from Valley High to travel to Southwest Technical College in Cedar City on Tuesdays and Thursdays. These students participate in certified technical programs that include automotive, welding, robotics, pharmacy tech, and medical assistant. Additionally, the Kane County School District has partnered with Snow College to provide a fully accredited cosmetology program right here in Kanab. We currency have three students from Valley and 15 students from Kanab enrolled in the cosmetology college with Nikki Johnson as the instructor. We would like to thank the Kane County School Board for their support of expanding additional CTE courses for our students.
